Hepatite alcoólica é uma lesão e inflamação do fígado causada por consumo excessivo de álcool. É caracterizada por infiltração por neutrófilos, degeneração baloniforme de hepatócitos e depósito de corpúsculos hialinos de Mallory. A hepatite alcoólica muitas vezes ocorre concomitantemente em pacientes com outras formas de doença hepática alcoólica, como fígado gorduroso (esteatohepatite alcoólica), fibrose hepática e cirrose. | |||||||||||||||
