Doença do sistema respiratório, causada pelo metapneumovírus humano. Caracteriza-se por febre, mialgia, rinorreia, dispneia, taquipneia ou chieira torácica. Apresenta-se também com sintomas de pneumonia. A transmissão se dá por contato direto ou indireto, inalação de secreções respiratórias infectadas, ou por fômites. A confirmação é feita pela identificação do metapneumovírus em esfregaço de nasofaringe, nariz ou garganta, ou em amostra de sangue. | |||||||||||||||
