Inflamação das meninges devida a infiltração maligna de carcinomas, leucemias e linfomas. A síndrome é clinicamente caracterizada por cefaleia, rigidez de nuca, febre e fotofobia, com progressão potencial para estupor e coma. A apresentação pode ser aguda, subaguda ou crônica. O diagnóstico pode ser auxiliado por exames de neuroimagem e análise do líquido cefalorraquiano, que pode revelar uma pleocitose linfocítica, proteína elevada e a presença de células malignas na citologia. | |||||||||||||||
