+Sintomas de humor deprimido em transtornos psicóticos primários referem-se a humor deprimido conforme relatado pelo indivíduo (sentindo-se para baixo, triste) ou manifestado como um sinal (p. ex., choroso, aparência abatida). Se apenas sintomas não relacionados ao humor de um episódio depressivo estiverem presentes (p. ex., anedonia, lentificação psicomotora), esse descritor não deve ser usado. Esse descritor pode ser usado quer os sintomas depressivos preencham ou não os critérios diagnósticos de um transtorno depressivo diagnosticado separadamente. A classificação deve ser feita com base na gravidade dos sintomas de humor deprimido durante a semana anterior.
