Abstinência de estimulantes, incluindo anfetaminas, metanfetamina e metcatinona é um conjunto clinicamente significativo de sintomas, comportamentos e/ou manifestações fisiológicas, variando em grau de gravidade e duração, que ocorre quando da cessação ou redução do uso de estimulantes em indivíduos que tenham desenvolvido dependência de estimulantes ou tenham usado estimulantes por um período prolongado ou em grandes quantidades. A abstinência de estimulantes também pode ocorrer quando estimulantes prescritos foram usados em doses terapêuticas padrão. Sintomas de apresentação da abstinência de estimulantes podem incluir humor disfórico, irritabilidade, fadiga, insônia ou (mais comumente) hipersonia, sonhos vívidos e desagradáveis, aumento de apetite, agitação ou lentificação psicomotora, e fissura por anfetaminas ou estimulantes relacionados. | |||||||||||||||
