Abstinência de opioides é um conjunto clinicamente significativo de sintomas, comportamentos e/ou manifestações fisiológicas, variando em grau de gravidade e duração, que ocorre quando da cessação ou redução do uso de opioides em indivíduos que tenham desenvolvido dependência de opioides ou tenham usado opioides por um período prolongado ou em grandes quantidades. A abstinência de opioides também pode ocorrer quando opioides prescritos foram usados em doses terapêuticas padrão. Sintomas de apresentação da abstinência de opioides podem incluir humor disfórico, fissura por opioide, ansiedade, náusea ou vômito, cólicas abdominais, dores musculares, bocejos, sudorese, ondas de calor e frio, lacrimejamento, rinorreia, hipersonia (tipicamente na fase inicial) ou insônia, diarreia, piloereção e dilatação pupilar. | |||||||||||||||
