Doença causada por uma infecção pelo verme parasita Trichinella. Esta doença é caracterizada por febre, náuseas, diarreia, vômitos, fadiga ou desconforto abdominal. Esta doença também pode se manifestar com dor de cabeça, calafrios, tosse, inchaço da face e dos olhos ou dores nas articulações e musculares. A transmissão ocorre por ingestão de carne contaminada. A confirmação é feita pela detecção de anticorpos contra a Triquinela em uma amostra de sangue. | |||||||||||||||
